Soviet historians in their reports and speeches showed the international significance of the revolution of 1905-1907 in Russia, its influence on the development of the revolutionary processes of the early XX century in other countries, and in particular in Romania. The main report on the international significance of the first Russian Revolution was made by I. I. Mints. E. I. Spivakovsky's speech was devoted to the analysis of the revolutionary movement in Russia and Romania at the turn of two epochs, identifying similar and specific features of its development in both countries. A. K. Mosanu focused on the revolutionary traditions of the Romanian working class in terms of the impact of the revolution of 1905 - 1907 on the Romanian labor movement. V. N. Vinogradov showed the attitude of the Romanian public to the first Russian Revolution.

Romanian historians presented the following reports for discussion: "The stage of economic development of Romania at the beginning of the XX century" (V. Aksenchuk); "The revolutionary movement of Romania at the end of the XIX-beginning of the XX century" (I. Yakosh and N. Kopoyu); " V. I. Lenin on the revolutionary movement in Romania at the end of the XIX and the first decade of the XX V." (V. Ionescu); "The Potemkin episode is a vivid example of the active international solidarity of the Romanian labor movement with the Russian revolution of 1905" (T. Giorgescu); "The contribution of Romanian historiography of the last decade to the study of the development of the revolutionary movement in Romania at the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century" (G. Ionita).

During the meeting, two organizational meetings of both sides of the commission were held, where they exchanged views on the work plan for 1976 and summed up the results of the past scientific meetings. The chairmen of the Soviet and Romanian parts of the commission noted the importance of the meeting for clarifying the points of view of Soviet and Romanian historians on a number of problems of the workers ' and socialist movement in Romania in the late XIX - early XX centuries, and stressed its importance for expanding cooperation between scientists of the two countries.

According to the signed protocol, the next scientific meeting of historians of the Soviet Union and Romania will be held in the fall of 1976 in Moscow on the topic " The national Liberation Movement in the Balkans in the second half of the XIX century. Russian-Romanian relations and the War of 1877-1878".
